Even with frame limiter it works 100% of the time for me, that little change made a HUGE progress(besides of it being a side-effect). IMO it's certainly not a priority but surely adds hope into the future enough to make it a possibility. VBA-M some years ago added that feature with Dolphin and it worked since the beginning but, of course, took a huge amount of time to get it working properly. Everything starts somewhere but we would need help from the devs of Dolphin into this too. |

This is caused due bad-timing on frame-pacing and packet loss. To fix it you must disable both the audio sync, the frame limiter and the JIT. Only then you'll be able to connect. |

Posted by Mew3 In some games, it's necessary since they're a little more sensitive. |

If the other screen is dropping to half the FPS, that means your PC isn't powerful enough to run 2 instances. What normally should happen is it dropping 2~5 FPS at the worse case. |

Posted by Santiagobbboff You don't need to trade it, wall you gotta do is going to the item section on your bag, select the Shiny Stone and press A on in to use it. The Shiny Stone works like the Fire, Water, Thunder Stones. Posted by Mew3 Are you using the same PC with different OS or two PCs? |

error 20110 means it is working, you just have to setup the alternative server DNS.

MelonDS local wireless feature is still a work-in-progress, some versions might show regressions, I would recommend you download the latest build on Github and trying it again. |

Did you enabled the "bind socket to any address" option? |

Try disabling audio sync and enabling the frame limiter. If it doesn't works, try with both disabled. JIT is also known to cause problems and not all games are working yet. |

I totally think this would be neat, already faced problems regarding a homebrews not loading on melonDS. This also would help people that depend on game specific quirks(like RNG abuse in Pokémon games). However, this would need to be option present in the hud to make users able to enable or disable it. Also, most DS functions are intertwined, this is important to note since the feature could potentially fix or break some specific games in some specific cases. When SRAM was added, for example, it mostly fixed a lot of issues in local multiplayer (Ni-Fi) emulation. |

the emulator uses your computer's clock to determine the time, all you gotta do is change the time in your PC. |

Would it be possible to add a custom MAC Address option to MelonDS? A similar feature is available on PPSSPP and I think this would be the solution to prevent local multiplayer issues as well problems that happen due to not having a fixed MAC Address.

How deterministic is GBA Slot emulation currently, regarding the GBA games add-on part? (Like Pokemon transfers, extra Megaman bosses, Lunar Knight bonuses, etc.) |

To fix the issue try this, go to config > video settings and check the "Improved polygon splitting" box. Past versions of Desmume's OpenGL also have that problem, it's caused because of DS hardware that render quadrilaters instead of triangles iirc.

Thanks for the answers guys, just wanted to know if it was "safe" to play games using that specific function. Glad to know it is. |

To avoid conflicts, things like the secondary DNS should be the same as the first. Some ISP's may block DNS requests and a domain patch may be required.
Also, try following the extra step of my tutorial here: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?id=285 |

In the latest versions of MelonDS, some launch errors started to happen, they are rare but I thought it was curious enough to be brought to attention.
Some of these errors may include a permanent white screen after the game is launched through the bios (although as stated before it's rare). In Pokémon White 2 tho, sometimes this screen appears instead (also rare) It may be related to JIT but, due to how hard it is to make them appear, it was unfeasible to test this hypothesis. |

Just noticed a bug of the polygon splitting in the OpenGL renderer. Whenever I start the emulator with this option checked, the emulator forget to apply the effect and the graphics stay buggy anyway.
The only way to "fix" it is checking the option off and then checking it back on. |

If you check the character in the center of the screen closely, you'll notice that in the first screenshot he's bugged, while in the second screenshot he isn't.
Polygon splitting is a method that combines 2 triangles to form a quadrilateral (since the DS works with quadrilaterals instead of triangles). Most GPUs only work with triangles thus making the image bugged, this method prevents that. |
