In the latest versions of MelonDS, some launch errors started to happen, they are rare but I thought it was curious enough to be brought to attention. Some of these errors may include a permanent white screen after the game is launched through the bios (although as stated before it's rare). In Pokémon White 2 tho, sometimes this screen appears instead (also rare) It may be related to JIT but, due to how hard it is to make them appear, it was unfeasible to test this hypothesis.
