I made an account for one specific problem, so I am playing Dragon Quest IV everything is working fine, a few frame drops but those are few and far between and eventually O get to chapter 3, everything is fine so I get to the near end of chapter 3 and before I get into a huge grind session I take a break, I come back later and I get an error message saying no ARM9 BIOs file or whatever something like that, so I reput in BIOS9 and 7 and the Firmware and I boot up the game and load up my save state, the save state is frozen and then it crashes the emulator yer the other save state that WORKS is all the way at the beginning of chapter 2, please someone ANYONE tell me there is a way to fix this so I don't end up waiting months and months to finally build the motivation to beat DQ4

Depending on where you aquired your firmware files, it is entirely possible that your files might be modified in some way. It is best if you dump your own firmware files from an official Nintendo DS system. In the case you dont have these. I may be able to provide you with mine. I do not know of the rules of linking such files. So I will hold back for now.

Never rely on save states, use the in-game save system.
