So yesterday i tested if 2 laptops could see each other in pictochat and games like mario kart ds. I also used my PC (With an ethernet cable) in the pictochat. On the emulation settings with melonDs 0.6 i turned bind socket to any address on. after this i tested out pictochat and both laptops on wifi could see that someone was in chat room 1 (My pc). But for some reason i first had to disable all the network adapters except for the wifi adapter on the laptops

I read in a different thread here that multiplayer is only possible with an ethernet cable, but for me it was slightly working on wifi. Even in mario kart ds both the laptops saw a hosted game in multiplayer. After joining that game the connection between the two kinda stopped. And since i want to buy a GPD Win, i was wondering if i could play local multiplayer with another GPD win on melonDS.

will the local multiplayer function ever be fully possible in games like mario kart ds. And if not, is it possible with wii emulators like dolphin?
