Hey everyone, I need help in regards to the way MelonDS is handling audio. A few months ago I switched to an audio interface (Behringer UMC22) and use it as my main audio device. The problem I am getting with MelonDS now is that the FPS is just randomnly droppnig and staying like that while playing or tabbing in and out of the MelonDS window. I would guess this has something to do with how audio sync works here, since the problem goes away once I switch to another audio output. I do not have this issue with any other emulator that has audio sync and I would like to know if there is a way to solve this problem or any workaround is available? :/ |

probably something to do with that specific audio interface/driver and how often/when it's telling SDL to request more audio samples. basically, melonDS's audio sync is tied to the SDL audio stream callback, so if that's called at an inconsistent enough rate, it might affect how stable the emu runs. ____________________ Kuribo64 |
