< melonDS 1.0 RC, there it is! |
Lil' status update Dec 9th 2024, by Arisotura |
I've had surgery a couple weeks ago, as I mentioned. It went very well and I'm recovering quickly, so all is good on this front. Thank you all for your kind messages, it means a lot! I also wanted to open up the nightly builds section, but I ran into a little issue. Basically, I made the database field for artifact IDs a regular integer, but Github's artifact IDs eventually became greater than 2147483647, which is the highest value a 32-bit signed integer can represent. Due to this, the commits since November were stored without their associated artifacts (the nightly builds). I fixed the database structure. Now I will see if I can run a script to download the missing artifacts. Otherwise, further commits should have their artifacts downloaded correctly. Once all that is sorted out, I will open up the nightly builds section. |

You deserve some good news so this is great to hear. Sometimes life gives us some obstacles in our path but we cant let them stop us progressing forward. Anytime there is a issue I knew you could figure it out Arisotura. Stay safe and good luck 😎. |

Congrats on the surgery!!!! I do hope you're recovering well ❤️🩹 Thank you for the work on melonDS over the past decade, writing in for the first time to show that even lurkers can be grateful and represent the grateful silent majority 🥰💖 Saw the update in the read only memo newsletter by Wes Fenton so wanted to pop in and say thanks 🙏👍💖 |

Just wanted to ask here, since I don't know where to do so, but is the MelonDS on the Google Play Store under 'Rafael V. Caetano' the official version for Android devices, or is it an unofficial version? I would link it here, but the Google Play Store won't let you share the link to an app tagged as Early Access. |

Nevermind lol. I failed to read the first sentence of the apps description lol. It's an unofficial port that properly attributes the original MelonDS and links to the github. Ignore my stupidity lol |

As I have been searching for a nds emu that supports netplay I just bumped into this project's website and read Arisotura's updates from "netplay saga ep 2". Just to say congrats and never give up. Its awesome to deal with illness and at the same time work hard on this nds project. Kinda inspires me to stop lazying around and continue coding, which I abandonned 4 months ago. I am on win8 so I cant enjoy wifi emu of the latest release, but I do hope ul keep the project progressing. Rooting for you! |

Hey! I hope your recovery is going great! Let me ask if shaders support (or built-in shaders) is planned for the future : ) The emu works fantastic! The only thing I want is to have authentic colors. The Retroarch has a great NDS colors shader, and including it into the MelonDs would be just perfect : ) |
