no it is not possible to connect melonDS to a real Wii or to a Wii emulator.

Will there ever be plans to connect to a Wii Emulator (Dolphin, the currently only way to play Wii games?)

Thanks for that. Though I thought it was a way to connect melonDS to Dolphin without the editing sav file work around when I read the title.
