Hi there. Author of melonDS DS here.
The "Blow" option not working is a known issue. Fixing it is on my roadmap; if you're on GitHub, you can subscribe to that thread and be notified when it's resolved. In the meantime, I appreciate your patience. As for the microphone not working...two questions: 1. Which version of RetroArch are you using? Is it recent? 2. Does the host's microphone work in situations where you need to record audio (e.g. Electroplankton), rather than just blow into it? |

What's your network setup like? Are your devices using wireless or wired? |

If you're itching to play melonDS on your iPhone, I maintain a RetroArch port that's based on a recent version of the emulator. It's bundled with the App Store release and includes most features (including Wi-fi support). |

Can you tell us about the network you're testing these on? Specifically, are all of the devices you're using connected via Wi-fi, or are some of them using Ethernet? |

Posted by MB For melonDS DS, you can name firmware and NAND images anything you want; you can pick your favorite in the core options. Also, that doc page is for the older core (the one I went out of my way to replace). This is the doc page you want; it was added just this week, actually. |

Posted by Arisotura Pickiness about system files is actually left to the discretion of cores. RetroArch just tells cores which directory contains all the sysfiles, it's up to the core to decide what to do with the contents. It just happens that being picky is quick and easy to implement. |
