Hello. I'm trying to transfer a Manaphy egg from Ranger to Pearl or Platinum and failing. I found a thread suggesting enabling mac randomisation, but that's no longer a thing from what I read. I tried enabling and disabling audio sync, frame rate limiting, messed up with various video settings, even tried overriding settings from external firmware to use custom mac addresses (before I learned that mac randomisation is automatic now). Nothing works. Platinum actually freezes altogether, while Pearl sometimes freezes sometimes says it failed to connect. Ranger always says it failed to connect.
Older threads suggest this worked in the past, so I'm hopeful. Worth noting I'm trying with the original Ranger, not the sequels. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

You were trying to trade from different PCs? Did you manage to make it work? So far I've just traded by using two instances of MelonDS and going in the room above the Pokemon Center. |
