Actually i can imagine running 2 emulators on the same network identifying with the same MAC gives problems, since its read from firmware file and most users are just downloading any of them to make it work instead of reading out the MAC from their own NDS. |

i think i found a bug related to wfc... so i will just drop it here.
I tested the online connectivity with melonDS 0.9.5 and Metroid Prime Hunters (MPH) but i think the game doesn't matter. I dumped the firmware of my two nds-consoles using dsbf_dump, one of them has a normal v5 firmware and the other one has v6 with a mac-address that actually starts with 00:23:CC (i have the issue with both firmwares). 1. So, when i use MPH and then i go to: "multiplayer mode" -> "nintendo wifi connection" -> "find game" for the first time the ![]() 2. When i go one menu back (disconnect from WFC Service) and then click on "find game" a second time the ![]() 3. All following attempts to "find game" are resulting in the same 52200. When i restart the emulation (not closing melonDS) i can connect again, only once, and then not anymore like described above... This can be reproduced. When i use the firmware (where you enter the dns servers) to test the connection i can repeat this multiple times, except i already tried to connect to WFC before and enter the firmware after it (which is possible because u enter this menu through the game). The ![]() I tried this with different services like Kaeru WFC, WFZwei, Wiimmfi (unpatched). They all behave like the same. Also i found some desmume fork where the author wrote about this in their md: https://github.com/caela/DeSmuMEaltWFC ![]() so because of that i think it is a bug on the side of the service rather on side of the emulators, im just curious why its working after the emulation (not the emulator-program) restarts. |

Posted by Wifall I tried this with different services like Kaeru WFC, WFZwei, Wiimmfi (unpatched). They all behave like the same (same problem). Also i posted this on the Discord from Kaeru WFC where the dev Célistine answered: Posted by Célistine I would suggest some of the members from both teams get on the same desk... else this goes endlessly |
