While this could be useful for some things it also sounds a bit like a security hole. That probably needs to be addressed in some way. Another thing to consider is Lua scripting support: https://github.com/melonDS-emu/melonDS/pull/1671 which we want to eventually merge and which can probably fulfil many similar tasks.

1. WFC online play and local wireless are two different things, please be careful to not mix them up.

If I remember correctly the different cries come from different stereo speakers. No local wireless on one computer within one process is should be relatively robust in current versions of melonDS. The same can't be said for LAN mode and especially not when the devices are connected via wifi as is probably the case here. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! There are two ways.
One would be to dump your save file, do a local wireless trade with melonDS on your computer and then write the savefile back onto your DS cartridge. The other one is to use wifi with both instances connected to the same wifi replacement server. Though keep in mind that connecting from the same server can be problematic (using e.g. your phone's internet for one connection can help). Upload your savestate to Nadia's save state fixer website: https://nhp.sh/gen5statefix/ to get one which should save again.

Full BIOS emulation needs to be unchecked unless you actually have the actual full ARM7 bios dump (which is very unlikely as you need a modchip for that). Just for playing games there is absolutely no disadvantage.
