Hello i'm trying to do a trainer battle in pokemon Heartgold but the other player isn't showing up. I've followed the explanation to connect to the Nintendo WFC and i can get mystery gifts but I don't see the other person (who is using a different pc but same app just using SoulSilver). We are both able to go into the union room and both are able to select the battle arena w.e it's called. But neither of us see the other.

It could be a NAT or UDP issue, the only way to solve that is either opening the required ports in the router OR using melonDS direct mode in wifi settings.

How do i do the direct then? I just realized the other pc was connected via wifi just connected it via ethernet. Thanks again for the help

So figured out the fact that i wasn't running it as an admin. But now i've just gotten a communication error bluescreen of death
