As the title says. I export backup memory from Desmume as a raw sav file. The file size is exactly 524.288 byte or 512 KB. I run melonds, I press import save file and I get a "savefile shorter than sram". I cant find anything relevant on this forum or anywhere else when I google it. Any ideas?

Game is pokemon soul silver.

I tried to do that multiple times, it doesnt work. I managed to do something similar at my work pc, but the house pc simply refuses to cooperate.

Yea, I just tested same save file on my work pc and its working just fine. Something's wrong with my home pc.

Now I will try to create a save state and transfer it back to my home pc. But I still dont understand why this is happening.
