Hi, based on my experience, you have to patch the rom first using WfcPatcher before doing the steps described in the stickied tutorial. Otherwise, you will keep getting error 20100.

1. Download and extract the latest WfcPatcher from https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/WfcPatcher/releases
2. Download* this batch file.
3. Place WfcPatcher.exe, patch.bat, and your rom(s) in the same folder.
4. Run the batch file.
5. Follow the steps in the stickied tutorial.

*Alternatively, you can create the patch yourself:
1. Create a new text file.
2. Copy & paste this command:
for %%i in (*.nds) do wfcpatcher ^"%%i^" -d wiimmfi.de
3. Save.
4. Change the file type from .txt to .bat.

P.S. If you're playing Gen V Pokemon games, mystery gifts work just fine, but not the GTS. This might be caused by a timing issue with the emulator, so just wait for 9.3.

No need anymore. I actually researched and you just need to use a good bridge DNS. Try this on an unpatched ROM https://kaeru.world/projects/wfc
Unfortunately, I've got no luck with that. Following those steps with a clean rom gives out the same error as described by OP.

I would try this but keep giving this error even though I already have the program already installed.

Your .NET Framework 3.5 might be disabled.
1. Press Windows key.
2. Type "turn windows features on or off" and open the link given.
3. Tick the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) box.

Restart if required.

This article might be of help, though I'm unable to test it without onboard gpu.

OP has an intel uhd graphic which means it's a relatively new intel gpu, which aren't great, but also not terrible as pre sandy bridge iGPUs.
Sorry about that. I just went in with my prejudices without checking it more thoroughly.

Can't even seem to get into the compatibility administrator on Windows ADK installed from your article link since the version is so old and there's no direct download from the Microsoft website. Any other solutions that you may know of?
Please ignore that. As mentioned by RSDuck, that fix is for much older Intel gpus. My apologies.

In any case, you have to update the OpenGL driver for your Intel UHD Graphics because otherwise, it will be stuck on OpenGL 1.1 (I think melonDS requires OpenGL 3.0 at the minimum).

Download and install the latest Intel gpu driver from this link and report back whether it fixes the problem.

melonDS version used: https://github.com/melonDS-emu/melonDS/commit/b5073e6014e3ecf6074912d129ec9fcf096a2025 (the commit doesn't seem to touch on this issue, so the bug must have been present for a while)

When separate savefiles option is enabled, using a savestate makes the emulator use the string from the latest savestate slot as the sav file filename.

Reproduction:
1. Enable separate savefiles option (Config>Savestate settings>Separate savefiles)
2. Boot a game (e.g.: a.nds)
3. Save the game using savestate (this produces a.nds.m# file)
4. Save the game using in-game save function (the sav file is now incorrectly stored as a.nds.ml#.sav)

The bug doesn't occur when savesate isn't used or when the separate savefiles option is disabled.

Oh, I mistakenly thought the option refer to separate ml save states (ml1, ml2, etc. files). Thanks for the clarification!
