I used to use DeSmume to play my Nintendo DS Online games or make some Pokémon trades with my DS cartridges (I'm even the person who uploaded these two videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC6OPUNyBxU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZm8tRHHl58 ) I avoided using MelonDS because it was horrible for weak PCs, my PC only had 4 GB of RAM on an Intel Celeron without a video card so I preferred to continue on DeSmume as I was able to play on it.

But recently I switched PCs, although it is still not so good now it is an i3 with 8 GB of RAM, so I thought about testing MelonDS again since it still receives updates unlike NO $ GBA and DeSmume, the performance this is much better than when I tested it at the time, but I had a problem playing online:

In Pokémon White 2 using AltWFC:
Error Code: 20100 Unable to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

In Metroid Prime Hunters with Wiimmfi:
Error Code: 20100 Unable to connect with this Nintendo WFC ID

In Mario Kart DS with Wiimmfi:
Nintendo WFC service for this software has been halted

I did all the steps correctly and I even can pass the WFC Connection test without any problems so I'm not sure what's going on here, could someone help me?

I had already done it exactly as it was in the tutorial, but I had not tried the '' Erase Nintendo WFC Configuration '' option, now even the connection test that used to be successful is giving the same error as Mario Kart DS. lol

Hi, based on my experience, you have to patch the rom first using WfcPatcher before doing the steps described in the stickied tutorial. Otherwise, you will keep getting error 20100.

1. Download and extract the latest WfcPatcher from https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/WfcPatcher/releases
2. Download* this batch file.
3. Place WfcPatcher.exe, patch.bat, and your rom(s) in the same folder.
4. Run the batch file.
5. Follow the steps in the stickied tutorial.

*Alternatively, you can create the patch yourself:
1. Create a new text file.
2. Copy & paste this command:
for %%i in (*.nds) do wfcpatcher ^"%%i^" -d wiimmfi.de
3. Save.
4. Change the file type from .txt to .bat.

P.S. If you're playing Gen V Pokemon games, mystery gifts work just fine, but not the GTS. This might be caused by a timing issue with the emulator, so just wait for 9.3.

I would try this but keep giving this error even though I already have the program already installed.

No need anymore. I actually researched and you just need to use a good bridge DNS. Try this on an unpatched ROM https://kaeru.world/projects/wfc

Still nothing.

I'll revise the solution.

So from what I've seen and heard, the problem with the error code is with ISP's blocking custom DNS's. What you want to do to fix this is to patch your ROM with the WFCPatcher.

1. Download this patcher: https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/WfcPatcher/releases
2. Extract its contents and place them inside a folder.
3. Now, place your ROM file into the folder of the .exe application.
4. Run a cmd for the folder. (This can be done by typing "cmd" into the directories bar, if that doesn't work... Google it)
5. Type this into the cmd:

wfcpatcher "X.nds" --domain wiimmfi.de

X is the name of your ROM file. Example:

wfcpatcher "Pokemon Black.nds" --domain wiimmfi.de

6. The process of patching should start after you hit enter and you'll be promptly greeted with a copy of your ROM. It should be named "X (wiimmfi.de).nds"
7. Use the newly generated ROM file to boot your game and go to the WFC settings to test it.

I've been facing these problems for months (I even gave up on MelonDS until I saw this post)

So, I tried to do exactly as you said:

But now it gave me ''ERROR CODE : 52100''

I have the same error, I can't dump the BIOS of my console because it doesn't turn on anymore so I downloaded one that I found on the internet.

I just want to play Mario Kart DS Online again.
