Posted by Wifall Using Windows 10 and version 9.1, I have done everything the forum says, connected to the altWFC and used the WFCPatcher to try and fix Pokemon Platinum to allow for me to trade between two active instances on the same PC, but nothing seems to be working. Frame Limiter is unchecked. Both Instances are run by administrator. Bind to any address is checked. Randomize MAC address is checked. second game/save file is a second copy of the rom and renamed. I don't have the liberty nor knowhow to figure out Linux, and it seems like too much for my purpose of just wanting to play and trade with my partner. I tried this ?version? Posted by Saizo7 I've tried running two different game files/save files, and the same game/save file and these are the results so far: I can interact from the primary game file to the secondary game file in the Wireless Club Union Room, and I get as far as being able to select a trade before it errors. If I try to have the secondary game file, then I don't even get to try to select anything before the error ends the communication. When using the same game file, I am unable to make it past the introductions before the error ends communication. I realized that I was using Nmap rather than npcap I attempted the trade from the two different game files, and on both sides I am able to invite and accept a trade offer. Immediately after the other instance processes the accepted offer the communication drops. The only difference is that the secondary doesn't transfer to a communicating/loading screen into the trade setup before communication drops. I attempted the trade from the same game file on two instances, and the first instance is able to initiate a trade offer and transfer to a loading screen, but the second drops after introductions. I would appreciate all the help I can get! The only other thing that I would want help with is setting up the online trading/interactions. I don't know if they need to only be through the GTS or through the basement of the pokemon center, but so far my attempts are unable to access the internet (I know that I am using the WiFi selection rather than the Ethernet selection that has been recommended, I am waiting on my new cable in order to try that.) I am also trying to get it all to work over LAN, so I can interact with other MelonDS instances on other PCs, but so far, no luck. |
