That's an entirely separate issue, that's just due to the lack of HD display capture in melonDS.

yes, it's the toggle fps limit hotkey

Might not be enough though. I tried using the SM64DS 60fps patch with it and it was still too slow despite the double clock speed.

I have nothing against it, it'd just be a matter of adding it in the UI (and deciding how the user setting should interact with the DSi's selectable clock)

Regarding this, it could be done as a percentage slider like it is in Dolphin and Citra (which both had the same issue because Dolphin has Gamecube and Wii mode and Citra has 3DS and New 3DS mode). That way, "100%" would be stock speed in both modes and 200% would be twice the normal speed in both modes.

Yeah, both Citra and Dolphin have snaps too so I think it'd be fine. Citra snaps to multiples of 5 and Dolphin gets coarser the higher the value gets (there are two positions for 6% and five positions for 7%, but no positions between 389% and 400%).
Though, I guess being limited to multiples of 33MHz makes the percentage idea not work anyway, since 25% in DSi mode is a multiple of 33MHz but 25% in DS mode isn't.

Posted on 07-21-21 05:01 PM, in Is there a way to adjust the fast forward speed? Link | #4086
Decrease? Yeah, that'd be a pretty useful option to have.
Increase? Not really possible. Fast forward makes the game go as fast as your PC can run it. If it's too slow, that's because your PC can't run the game fast enough. They could do something like DeSmuME's fast forward which also has frameskip to allow to game to be even faster, though. Optimizations like JIT do also allow games to run faster, but that's about it.

I don't think the slow speed of your CPU should cause a problem. Make sure you have the framerate limiter disabled.

Can you try melonDS 0.8.3?

I'm not sure why the game isn't working, but DS games aren't region locked. Only DSi games are. Tomodachi Collection is neither a DSi game or a DSi-enhanced game.

I believe it's already been reported.

A timing issue. Might get fixed with the timing renovation in the timing17 branch once it's complete. Apparently the game also works fine on melonDS 0.7.2.

I think the only thing 0.7.2 has to boost speed is the threaded renderer, which is enabled by default.

Yeah a 0kb file is definitely not right. It should be 4kb.

Actually the rules don't say that it's forbidden to talk about it. Should probably be fixed, if so.

Bind socket to any address isn't necessary from my experience.

Pretty sure there's no way to inject a save into a game cartridge. You can use a flashcard or nds-bootstrap though.

Posted on 08-24-21 03:31 PM, in Is MelonDS Android a virus? Link | #4342
It's not a virus and I don't know why you would think it is one. It's in early access because it's not finished and it's small because emulators don't tend to be particularly big. That said, the unofficial Android port has no online support yet and even if it did melonDS doesn't yet support online local multiplayer, which would be required for online pictochat.

Well, 0.7.2 had neither the JIT nor the hardware renderer, so slowness isn't too surprising.

xBRZ texture scaling was briefly worked on in the Blackmagic II branch, but it was abandoned. I think it's likely to happen at some point in the future, though.
