A while ago, with my own contribution, Termux added official melonDS desktop version on their packages list. With this, you can now use it directly on your phone inside a Termux native desktop!
Here's how you can do it: 1. Install Termux, Termux:API and Termux:X11 from GitHub or F-Droid: https://github.com/termux/termux-app https://github.com/termux/termux-api https://github.com/termux/termux-x11 2. After you installed Termux, open the app and run the following commands: pkg upgrade (Refreshes the package list)
3. Now open Termux:X11 application, find and launch melonDS and you can finally enjoy the official experience on your phone!
pkg install x11-repo (Enables the X11 repository which contains melonDS package) pkg install xfce4 melonds pulseaudio termux-x11-nightly termux-api (Installs melonDS package including a desktop, you can change the desktop if you want something else than XFCE4) pulseaudio --start --load="module-native-protocol-tcp auth-ip-acl=127.0.0.1 auth-anonymous=1" --load="module-sles-source" --exit-idle-time=-1 (Starts the PulseAudio server for enabling sound and microphone on your desktop) export DISPLAY=:0 XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=$TMPDIR PULSE_SERVER=127.0.0.1 (Sets up essential variables for your desktop session) termux-x11 -xstartup xfce4-session (Starts the XFCE4 desktop, if you have a different desktop, replace "xfce4-session") Note: You don't need to use the Android fork of melonDS anymore after this.
