Simply put, this thread is about discussing your favorite Pokémon species.

What are your favorites? Why are they your favorites? Would you like to have your favorite species as an irl pet?

For me, this the title would have to go to Lucario.
Without needing much explanation, it is immediately clear that Lucario Simply looks badass. I mean, just look at this wallpaper I use

Other than that, I have some pretty fond memories of this one Lucario I obtained as a kid back in middleschool on my copy of Pokémon platinum Version. I named her Aura, which is kinda funny because I recently changed my name to the same thing.
This Lucario, though collected late in the game, had carried me through lots of touch battles, and I thought it fit to transfer her over to subsequent Pokémon titles, unfurtunately having to leave her behind on a now sold copy of Pokémon Ultra Sun version.

When I discovered my interest in the Furry fandom, I decided to make this Lucario into my first fursona, And learned a lot about the species I previously didnt care to learn about as a kid:

- Lucario have the ability to sense any living creature's Aura's, which technically enables them to feel what kind of mood you are in. This theoretically should enable them to be great for emotional support!
- Lucario are generally very strong-willed. And seem to generally have a pretty strong tolerance level to being exposed lots of emotional distress, boosting their emotional support value even more.
- If a Lucario grows attached to someone, For Example, their trainer, it is said that they will continue to fight to protect or help this person in any way they can.
- Lucario, while known for their strength, are very fond of participating in soft activities they partake in with the aforementioned attached person. For example, if you were to get a Lucario to like you, you get to take them to the movies or go out for a picnic!

All things considered, I would love to have a Lucario in real life. They would easily make for one of the best friends I can imagine. Always happy to hang out and chill, while also not afraid to help protect you, Kind of like how people would describe a dog. Which, makes sense, I'm pretty sure Lucario are supposed to be canine-like anyway.

What is your favorite species? And what do you like about them?
