Hey guys,
I am trying to use poke transfer to send pokemon from platinum to black 2. The problem is that, in order to do so, i have to load the ds firmware by turning off the boot game directly option. When I turn it off to load the firmware, the screen will just go white. I dont know how to load it so that i can use poke transfer. Please help me. Btw I have tried emulating Dsi firmware. I can load the dsi firmware, but when I try to start the game i get a black screen saying "an error has occurred. press and hold power button to turn the system off. please see the Nintendo dsi operations manual for help troubleshooting". Please help me load the firmware to use poke transfer. |

How do i do that? Do i have to boot the firmware and then boot the game or vicevera? Also, do i have to keep the boot game directly off? |

wait, I thought you were trying to do download play. I don't quite understand what you're trying to do.
also, take note that if you extracted your DS firmware from a DSi, it's not bootable in DS mode. ____________________ Kuribo64 |

Listen,
When you turn on your DS, before you start playing any game, it shows you the start screen and a menu in which you can set up wifi settings, pictochat and all that stuff. In order to transfer pokemon from gen 4 games to gen 5, you need to load that menu. I have tried to load this previous menu instead of booting the game directly so that i can transfer pokemon, but when i turn boot game directly off, i only get to see a white screen when loading the game. What i want is to load that menu. |

If you are getting a white screen, it may be your bios file fault. Some DS bios (like the DSi and 3DS) are unable to boot since they only have the bare minimum to run. Or in some cases, are just flat bad dumps. If you're using a bios file dumped from DSi, you can try running the DSi bios instead. For that, go to Config > Emu settings > Console type.
