Hi guys, I have a problem, I was opening my Pokemon Heart Gold game, when suddenly the game decides not to open from the save and starts from the start screen, I try to load the file and it says "load state failed" ,and every time I open it it does this, can someone help me please? I have more than 200 hours on that game, I've almost finished the national pokedex, I don't want to lose everything, if you can help me even on a video call, give me your instagram or discord user, please, I need help, thanks. |

did you update melonDS? Savestates are only compatible for a single version.
Also savestates are not meant to save game progress in long term. You are supposed to use the in game save feature. These saves can go between versions of melonDS, DS emulators and even from real cartridge to emulator and all other directions. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! yes, I have the one updated to the latest version,0.9.5, and I always save in the game, never with savestates, precisely because I need the saves to also be transferred to the Nintendo DS

No I meant, did you create the savefile with one version of melonDS, then update and then tried to load it?

in fact I don't need a save state, but the problem is that suddenly I tried to open the game with the .sav file, not with the .ml file, and instead of opening normally from the last save as it always did, It opens as if you've never played it,and i have 200 hours on it |

pretty sure you just reload the rom normally and your save should be there , i did the same thing the other day and just reloading the rom normally fixed everything ____________________ www.keisui.bandcamp.com |
