Hello everyone, this is the first time I play this emulator because me and my friend wanted to try playing pokémon by trading like years and years ago. I got the bios and firmware and imported my .sav file from Desmume, started the game properly. I went to the WFC setup, selected MelonAp and used GTS' public dns at first, and I got no problems. But when I went to the NPC which gives you the friend code and started WFC, an error appeared: 23917. Reading on the internet it seems that the firmware or something like that is banned (someone had fun with it apparently) so I can't connect to WFC.
I also tried to change the DNS by using Wiimfi and got the same problem. I can connect properly in the WFC connection but can't use it in-game. I really don't know how to solve this. Using my .sav from desmume is not necessary, I just wanted to test it, I can start a new game with no problems, but I got stucked in this. P.S. I have the checkmarks on "Bind socket" and "Randomize MAC". Can you guys think you can solve the problem or whatever? I don't know where to take my friend code if you ask me, and if you wonder, yes, I have a real DS but I didn't use it for years. Thanks. |

you should dump the BIOS from your own system instead of using pirated dumps. ____________________
How to write an emulator
1. throw code to be emulated somewhere 2. make memory system that allows accessing that code 3. emulate CPU 4. have fun implementing all the other hardware -- Arisotura, Tuesday 5th January 2021, 22:00:17 |

I tried to follow the guide to dump my firmware, but I just discovered that my old DS won't boot up, I think it got damaged. What should I do then to play online? |

Posted by jacksbirrow In this situation it is best if you either repair your current system or purchase another system. The DS, DS Lite and DSi systems are the most reccomended. However the DSi Dump may require extra steps. ========================== ![]() |

I have the same error, I can't dump the BIOS of my console because it doesn't turn on anymore so I downloaded one that I found on the internet.
I just want to play Mario Kart DS Online again. |
