Not sure where I should post this, or even what forum to post it in lol

Got a couple DSi's Japanese ones and a DSi XL for really cheap. Got CFW running and everything but just can't seem to get them connected to our Wi-Fi, the end goal being to connect to a DNS server. They connect to each other just fine though I'm not sure there's any correlation there. Is that even really necessary to connect to a DNS? Technically the router, a somewhat new one, is someone else's property, stepdad's, so messing with the settings would be disrespectful but I could accidentally trip and... I hope it's not the CFW either because the UI would be in Japanese without it and I couldn't play English games iirc.

Any ideas. Any leads are welcome.

is the wifi network visible on the DSi systems?

Yes. And asks for the password. That does sound pretty indicative of a network problem.
