Hi guys,
I have an old save state from Pokemon Diamond (.mln file), and it works fine when loading with the old exe but when I try to use the newer version it gives me the error: "Load state failed" in the top left of the screen. Any help would be appreciated! |

savestates are not meant to be a long term way to store your game progress, use in game saves for that. They contain internal emulator specific data, thus they don't work across emulator versions. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! Oh okay, and what are the steps to transfer the progress between versions using in game saves? Can't for the life of me figure this out! Would love to be able to use the newer features |

there's no transfer process, you just need to load your savestate in melonDS 0.9 and then save ingame (X -> Save). Then load the game in melonDS 0.9.5 and you will be eable to continue where you saved.

Thank you! After some fiddling I finally got it working. It kept saying the save file was corrupted so I deleted them all and tried again and it worked  |
