Hi there, I'm experiencing this in-game now as well, playing Pokemon Blaze Black. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this locally at all, or if I could still upload a save state? I had to downgrade to 9.1 because of this issue, so I'm not able to take advantage of the newer fixes :/

I'll definitely be ensuring I have the C-Gear crap turned off going forward, I didn't realize it was causing the issue.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take for it to start doing that? I remember playing through blaze black and I don't think I experienced that issue.

the issue has been fixed in 0.9.4, in that sense that the game cannot fall into this invalid state anymore where the ARM7 is stuck in an endless loop. If you're already in this state well you only have a savestate which cannot be loaded with later versions anyway, but even if you somehow managed to do so, it would still be stuck in this state.

If you never enabled the C-Gear it could have never appear, regardless of the version.

I've come across this error when playing White 2 in Retroarch with it's MelonDS core, and it only happens when the C-Gear is turned on, after a few minutes the green online indicator will go red. Trying to save after that will display the corrupted info as seen in MixasPiercer's post. Definitely the same error. I see the core is only on version 0.9.3, which is two versions out of date. Why has it not been updated to match the standalone emulator? One version behind I can understand, but two? It needs updating ASAP.

we aren't responsible nor do we care for the the libretro core.

Eh? If it's not official, then why does the core info page say "Author: Arisotura"? If she isn't in any way responsible for the port they should be crediting the person who actually is. They're certainly making it look like it's official by not crediting someone else. You guys ought to do something about that, they're misleading people into thinking you guys are responsible.

Yeah they tend to do that, you'll see the same thing with other cores as well. Don't know if any other devs have complained to them about this but I feel like this is something they really need to be better about, because this is certainly not the first time people have gone here or the Discord to ask about libretro-specific issues that we have no control over.
