Hii apologies for this but i've lurked around both here and reddit and can't seem to find anyone with my problem so here I am hoping that someone can help me with this.
Anyway, I want to try out melonDS as opposed to desmume to see if it runs any better on my laptop (Windows PC btw), but I keep running into problems when trying to convert my Pokemon Heart Gold saves to usable .sav files for melonDS. I can export the saves as .sav files just fine but when I try to import the .sav files to melonDS I get a pop-up that says "the emulation will be reset and the current savefile overwritten" which, well, completely overwrites the save I was trying to use in melonDS in the first place. I've made sure the name of the .sav file matches the name of the .nds file but I just can't get it to work. I've tried using both desmume's export feature and just copying the .dsv file inot melonDS and then renaming it as a .sav file, as I saw suggested on a forum, and neither method has worked. Just wondering if there's literally anything anyone would suggest trying, I'd rather not have to restart the entire game when it's so fresh in my memory if it can be avoided at all. If you want more info please lmk i'd be happy to clarify whatever as long as it helps find a solution to this, thank you so much!! |
