Hi, haven't touched my games for a while now and when I booted them up again I get State Load Failed. I don't want to lose all of my progress! I have these .ml1 .ml2 files I'm assuming are the save states. But when I manually load them (and when I click load state 5, etc.) it says State Load Failed. I haven't updated melonDS or anything, how could this be happening? Help! |

did you by any chance load the rom from a different location//folder ¿ thats the only thing i can think of as thats the only thing thats caused my save states to not work ____________________ petrol for breakfast |

What do you mean? I might have moved them from one folder to another but why would that mess things up? I forget what original folder they were from by now if I had moved them... |

hmm im not sure what the problem could be then , ive only has problems when moving roms to different locations and im not sure why myself . my only guess is that when it gets moved to a new folder that it has no savestates to pull from in the new one ____________________ petrol for breakfast |

can you send me these savestate files via PM or something? I'll look into it.
also, don't rely solely on savestates through your gameplay: these may become incompatible with newer melonDS versions. ____________________ Kuribo64 |

no idea. I looked at the first file and it seems well formed. format version is 7.0, which is prolly what melonDS 0.9.2 uses. ____________________ Kuribo64 |

Hello guys! I have a similar problem, I was playing Pokemon black version 2 and everything was working fine, I saved my game a 2:02 AM and everything ok but once I decided to stop playing I tried to save my game at 2:22 AM and the game froze. Until then, I couldn't use the save option from the game and I decided to use the "Save state" option and everything ok. The problem is that I decided to update the emulator from 0.9 to 0.9.4 and when I try to "Load state" I get the error "State Load Failed". I also tried to use the PC ingame to move some pokes and get others but the image froze, just the image as the music is still playing. Any idea? Thank you so much. |
