After I beat the rotation battle trainer on Route 7 (close to the Celestial Tower), I saved the game and started to crash afterwards. I believe this has to do with the C-Gear, but even when I turn it off I still seem to crash - the audio keeps playing but the game doesn't respond to inputs and everything freezes.
Loading the save through any means causes the game to instantly freeze, unless I spam A to interact with the trainer. Are you using the desktop version of melonDS? If so make sure you are using 0.9.4 which fixes this exact issue. If you're using some other version, which are all unofficial and outdated, you'll have to play without ever turning on the C-Gear to avoid it.
If you post a save state I can edit it to not crash. |

I am using desktop version, and I am using 0.9.4

It has been a few days and I've tried reinstalling melonDS, turning C-gear off and both fail to fix the crash |

at first sight the bug you had seemed to be one which haunted us for a long time and which we hoped was fixed in 0.9.4. Fortunately for us this seems to be a different bug, unfortunately for you this means we cannot immediately fix your savestate. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! quick update:
Using the savefile inside the savestate you gave us I managed to reproduce your issue on real 3DS, which means if this is a melonDS bug it must have happened put your game into a state not reachable on a real console. Possibly this could also be a bug in the game. Did you at any point used cheats? Also if you use an older version of melonDS which doesn't implement data aborts correctly (0.9.3 or earlier) you can teach a Pokemon fly and fly to another town. The crash doesn't happen afterwards (as far as I have tested), though the crash does occur when staying in the place where the save brings you. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! I used a few cheats, such as 100% capture rate and Team exp
