I'm trying to play the New Super Mario Bros. DS 2 player hack using 2 instances of MelonDS on my PC, and it does connect, but within 2 minutes, usually a lot less, it disconnects us. I tried a number of different setting changes and nothing works. Disabling the frame rate limit seemed to fix it although it makes the game unplayable due to running ridiculously fast. I tried disabling the frame rate limit and instead capping it through Nvidia Control Panel, but this did not work, it simply didn't take effect.

How can I play this hack without being disconnected? And without the game running insanely fast?
