Hello, I'm trying to unmap a button from my controller, because I don't want that mapping anymore as it's more annoying than anything now, however it won't work. I've seen people say backspace works, and it does for keyboard inputs, but not for controller inputs.
For information, this is what I'm using OS: Mac Build: Latest Mac64X Controller: Switch Pro Controller. |

This didn't work unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is another solution. Is there anyway I can change the input manually in the files?

You can modify the melonDS.ini file to achive this. Easiest would be to delete it, but you will need to set your bios again, if you had any. ========================== My Website - My BlueSky |

Do you know where I can find this file, or if there's an alternative file for mac users? I can't find it. |

Admittedly, not too sure where this is or where to find it. I just installed melonDS and then put it in a folder within my Applications folder where all my roms are. |

Then the file should be there. Perhaps its a hidden file? I know unix likes to hide files for some reason. ========================== My Website - My BlueSky |

Unfortunately I couldn't find it, even showing hidden files :/
It's honestly a really strange issue. |

the config should be in ~/Library/Preferences/melonDS/melonDS.ini ____________________

Unfortunately, I too can not find an melonDS.ini file. This seems to be an issue that lays with MacOS. But selecting a key and then pressing backpace to unmap them did work for me. I'm sorry I'm unable to help. 😔 Edit, I posted this after I saw the other comments. Whoops. 😅 ========================== My Website - My BlueSky |
