Why is that when OpenGL Renderer is used, the "RTN" button is cut?
Software Renderer OpenGL 4x Native Also, when increasing internal resolution, it seems that not all textures(idk the right term) are smoothened. I don't know how to describe it but it looks like some of the textures are brightened instead of smoothened when increasing Internal Resolution. 1x Internal Resolution 4x Internal Resolution As you can see, the characters are brightened while the furniture and the fixtures are smoothened. I don't really have a problem with this. I can just stick to my own preferences. But I just want to know the technical details about this, like how does the OpenGL Renderer, render stuff compared to the Software Renderer. |

Posted by jlrruben it's probably a texture alignment issue. The OpenGL renderer is just not as accurate as the software renderer so things like this can happen from time to time. Posted by jlrruben the higher resolution rendering just makes it more obvious which textures are high resolution (compared to the screen resolution) such as the chair and which aren't (like the character). ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! just to add onto what generic aka rsduck said , the reason why everything other than the player character are in such high resolution when increasing the resolution is bc they are all full 3d models , so increasing the resolution will naturally allow you to see them in high quality , where the player character is a flat 2d sprite made to fit the exact size of the ds screen pixels , so no matter what you do it wont ever look higher quality other than with filters or texture replacement ____________________ petrol for breakfast |
