Hello all! I'm having some trouble getting MelonDS to run properly. Currently I'm using ver 0.9.4 and anytime I load a DS ROM or boot the DS Firmware the emulator runs it at 1 frame per second. At first it looks like a frozen white screen, but I've noticed if I let the emulator run for a bit eventually the DS Firmware loads the start screen (and the same goes for ROMs). To further confirm that the ROM is at least running, I can load a save state and see the game running at 1 fps.

I know for certain that my PC is capable of running MelonDS; it isn't a hardware issue. Another user had this exact problem as described in their thread: "Running at 1fps, but using nearly nothing," which suggested turning off the Framerate Limiter, Audio Sync, and V-Sync. Their problem was solved by disabling the Audio Sync, but this has not fixed my issue (nor has disabling the other configurations).

Using new DS BIOS files doesn't fix the problem either. The Emu Settings are set to "DS," so it isn't trying to use DSi stuff either (btw, when attempting to use DSi Mode with DSi BIOS, the same problem occurs). It is also worth noting that the emulator itself crashes quite often, even when just navigating the menus.

I have no idea as to what the possible cause is. Originally I was using ver 0.9.3 and everything was running smoothly, but out of nowhere this problem started occurring so I thought if I switched to the new version it would fix things but it hasn't. I also attempted using an older version of MelonDS (ver 0.9.2) but to no avail. Does anyone know a solution to this issue?

[SOLUTION]
After fiddling around a bit, I have found the solution to my problem. For some reason, having a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller plugged directly into my PC was causing MelonDS to cap at 1 fps. Using the controller via bluetooth works fine, so I have no ideas as to why using it wired breaks MelonDS. Regardless, the problem has been solved! I hope this helps anyone who may be having a similar issue.
