Hi

I have a question regarding Pokémon saves. I am currently playing on a mac and I want to edit my save file with Pkhex, which I can't get to work on mac. Would it be possible for me to transfer my save file to my windows pc via something like google drive, then edit it there, then move it back without the game losing its connection to the save file or something? Does the save have to stay in the folder at all times? The game in question is Pokémon heartgold.

yes that's totally possible.

Thank you! Just to clarify, I just need to replace the old save file with the new copy from my windows pc, right? And all I need to do is move the old save file out of the folder, correct? Just wanting to make sure I don't screw anything up, I am a bit paranoid, sorry.

yeah either that or you click on File -> Import savefile and then select the modified savefile.

In any case as long as you have your sav file backed up somewhere safe there is really nothing to fear.
