Hi,
I wanted to trade from Pokemon Diamond to Platinum. I followed the guide here: - Bind socket to any adress is on - MAC adress is randomized - Limit framerate and audio sync are off - Using latest release, 0.9.4 However, I still cannot see the other instance in the Union Room, no connection message either. Any ideas why? |

multiplayer is extremely unstable and more often than not will simply not work unfortunately , its getting there just not quite ready . though its odd you cant even see both instances as they usually do show up , doesnt matter the game . have you changed the emulator name to something else in the second window ¿ ____________________ petrol for breakfast |

The ROMs are named differently, as they are different ROMs, but the instances of the emulator have the same name. How would you change that? |

config > firmware settings , then its the username setting ____________________ petrol for breakfast |

I changed both usernames and checked the box to override settings, and then it worked fine, trades went without a hitch. Thanks a bunch! |

Hello,
I had the same issue as Lord Vetinari. Unfortunately changing the name of both the ROM and the second melonds username didn't work for me on top of all of the other troubleshooting I have seen on these forums. I am trying to either trade or battle with myself on Pokemon Heartgold and I cannot even get to the stage of entering the colosseum because neither instance detects one another. The Bind socket to any address and Randomize MAC Address under Network settings are not the issue. Audio sync and Limit framerate are not the issue. I have also connected my melonds to the melonds wifi server and it has told me Connection Successful. However I still cannot see myself appear as a trade or battle candidate. I see that the wifi symbol when in the communcation hub in Pokemon Heartgold does not have a single bar, I don't know if this is a valid way to know if I am connected to internet or not but wanted to point that out as well. If anyone could provide some sort of assistance it would much appreciated. |
