I downloaded melonDS 0.93 (linux_x64), running the executable does nothing, running it through console outputs "./melonDS: error while loading shared libraries: libslirp.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
Any help? Ok, downloading it through AUR seems to have also download libslirp but it is kinda confusing for newcomers to linux |

you probably need to install libslirp:
sudo pacman -S libslirp
you can just use the AUR package though: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/melonds____________________ hi they/she/xe :)))))))))))))) |

As you found out you need the libslirp package installed.
The way the Linux binary is distributed is generally just not really a good idea, there are too many different distros and dependencies that won't be met, and the user is not really told about this in any user-friendly way. I've been considering looking into making the CI produce flatpak packages instead and proposing to change the Linux build to that, which should solve most of the Linux distribution-related issues. |
