Before I post my issue, I know how this works; you can't migrate from Gen 3 to Gen 4 more than once per 24 hours, and if your Gen 3 copy's "internal clock has been altered", you have to sync it up with your DS and try again.

My issue is that, no matter how long I wait, when I try and migrate the day after, it comes up with the same error message. I've waited a day, and then 2 days, and even a week, and it never seems to register that I've been waiting 24 hours. I really want to migrate my FireRed mons and it's starting to get irritating, so I'd appreciate the help.

If it helps, the ROMs are vanilla and I've changed my PC clock before to manipulate wild pokemon. I've also used savestates.

Thanks.

Do not change the PC clock AT ALL. Every time you do that, it'll mismatch the DS true internal clock (which never changes). The system have that protection to prevent that sort of tampering and the unfair advantages it give to players. Also avoid save states, they'll load at the time they were saved and thus they will also reset the internal clock triggering the same defense mechanism. Also, check if the "randomize MAC Adress" is enabled within wiff settings, if it is, disable it. Otherwise, the game will think it has been loaded on another Nintendo DS and it will also trigger the mechanism.

Right, I had randomise MAC address on so I could trade mons from HeartGold. Thanks for the advice, hopefully it should work now.
