I made the correct wifi settings and even got a connection, but when choosing to play with wifi, i get disconnected instantly and have to reset the emulation.

It worked fine with Age of Empires Mythologies after some fiddling with the settings but it doesnt seem to work with Phantom Hourglass, even with the right setup.

Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Just tested and it went fine:

Which server are you using? Also, check if you are either using indirect or direct mode.

I checked with Wiimmfi. The game should have full support.

I can only suggest making sure you are on Wiimmfi and like Wifall said, to check wether you are on Direct or Indirect mode.
