I booted up MelonDS, opened my Professor Layton ROM, and found all my load states had been deleted. Then, I tried Mario Kart. Same thing. Somehow, all of my save states, across all my games, were deleted. I know I did not touch any settings. Does anyone know the problem/solution?
Strange Update: When I open the ROMs through my "downloads" tab in files, my saved data is there. However, when I open those same files in my "Nintendo" folder, the saved data is gone. Is it possible to merge the two? Is this an illusion? A trick? Any help would be appreciated. |

it has something to do with the save data being stored in the rom from which folder you originally open the rom from , im not exactly sure how it works but from what ive seen if you open the same rom from different folders you will have different save states in each of them ____________________ petrol for breakfast |

Posted by keisui I believe the Save states are written to a hidden file within the folder of the loaded ROM. Perhaps its possible to copy these files if you enable the viewing of hidden files. I'm not certain though. ==========================  |

they are not hidden files, just regular ones in the same folder as the rom.
