Hi, just wanted to ask if xbrz filter is still in the plan and if it will work together with current 3d upscaling.

I understand that brz filter will only work for 2d images right? currently I have this problem in desmume: https://forums.desmume.org/viewtopic.php?id=11898
(the developer is such a dickhead)

I believe is due main obj layer only renders in 2d and the 3d upscaling doesnt work there, thats why it would be great to use 3d scaling with 2d filters together.

I had a system going for applying filtering to the 2D layers as they get composited, but it's tricky to get working correctly. the rest was mostly my typical ADHD self. I need to get myself to finish this, but now there's also the fact Generic wanted to make changes to that part of the renderer...

yikes yea the desmume dev is a dick , read through the forums the other day to see if any major progress has been made compared to melonds (no) and he was being unreasonably rude to people needing help or even people just asking questions . always wondered what was up with that

Is there any way to force Main OBJ layer to work the same than another layers?

no.

he answered your question, admittedly not very extensively, but without anything which would qualify for such a term.

Thanks! Im glad the feature was not discarded. Just a suggestion it would be great if the filter is applied depending on the output and not based on the engine. I've read in reddit (cant find the link now sorry) that 3d engine can also output 2d images so in that scenario the 2d filters (xbrz) should be applied.

I don't know man I participated in plenty of forums and never faced that kind of person, and keisui also has the same feeling, the dev is rude, just read his forum.
