I'm running MelonDS 0.9.3, but when i go to start any GBA game, the emulator doesn't recognize it and doesn't do anything. I can boot NDS games even after a failed attempt at a GBA game. Am I missing some sort of firmware or something? I have the ARM9, ARM7 BIOS and the DS firmwares all set and everything.

melonDS does not support running GBA games, they can be used for GBA-slot features in DS games but can't be played.

Yeah, you run the GBA game. Nothing will seem to happen. But then run the DS game, and if you boot to firmware instead of running the game directly, you'll see the DS option for playing the GBA game is no longer greyed out. In real hardware, selecting that option would play the GBA game, but you just get a blank screen in MelonDS. But play the DS game and you'll get whatever slot 2 bonuses are available (for example, unlocking Sol Cross Megaman when you use GBA Boktai 2 with Megaman Battle Network 5 DS).
