I have tried to change the graphics settings, turn on/off some system settings and even gotten a new ROM for this game. Even with all of these efforts, this game wouldn't process to the next objective. Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong here?

Do you have a save file before this happens you could post here? How are you supposed to progress past that screen on a real DS?
