It was already answered in this thread:

- The first issue you presented (where some sprites look weird) is a texture alignment issue
- The second issue you presented (where in some scenes higher resolution rendereing seems not to work properly) is a display capture problem.

Future versions of melonDS will probably improve this situation. But currently either use the OpenGL renderer if you want high resolution rendering with the compromise of some graphical errors or use the software renderer.

If you knew what i'm feeling/you would not say no?

Dragon Quest IV, V, and VI have many flaws compared to later versions. As a fan of such games and a fan of cosplay characters, I noticed gameplay bugs and errors in character creation. To make it more realistic, we also decided to imitate the characters from the games and ordered from https://dragon-vibe.com/ different accessories up to rings, suits, and different sweatshirts. I think this is something everyone who at least once tried to play Dragon Quest IV and knows how to distinguish real strategists from the cosplay storylines should know.
