I'm trying to play BRT in the RA core, and it works perfectly aside from one minor yet annoying issue: every time the game fades to black, like when changing floors or transitions in cutscenes, the audio stutters, crackles or glitches a bit. It's brief but annoying. How do I fix this?

Apologies if this isn't the place for help for the RA version, I'll go somewhere else if necessary.

if the issue is specific to the RA version, we can't help you -- the RA version is maintained by someone else and afaik that person doesn't come here.

have you tested teh standalone version?

how fast is your computer? Sounds like the emulator just can't keep up during loading screens which are pretty cpu intensive.

The libretro core is up to date with 0.9 on git, though idk if it's already distributed with stable releases.

From what I've seen the standalone version doesn't have this particular issue. I'll try to ask on the Github page for the RA version, then.

EDIT: Standalone DOES have this issue, after checking again.

Well, I can run some PS3 games at 1080p 60fps so it's not a performance issue I think. Standalone version doesn't have this issue either. Also, RA version is 0.8.3 for me, one version behind the standalone.

Where do I download it? I got mine from the buildbot, which says nightly (http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/x86_64/latest/). Was 0.8.3.

strange, their buildbot might still have some problems

How do you know that the RA version is supposed to be 0.9.0? I've been looking for a bit now but the most recent update seems to be 2 September for the melonDS core, it seems like it still has to catch up to standalone melonDS.

Okay, I found it! It's here: https://github.com/hunterk/libretro_builds. Will be testing now.

EDIT: Audio issue still present, will be making a ticket on Github. Guess I'll deal with it.

relatedly, we should see if we can get the libretro port person to come here, would be convenient
