MelonDS was previously working on my computer, but for some reason it slowed down permanently. It's using less ram then task manager. Please help! |

do you use a laptop? it might have gone into power saving mode when battery is low/it's not connected to the charger ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! "clearly you need to mow more lawns and buy a better pc" - Hydr8gon |

I'm on desktop, on a fresh and fully updated copy of Melon Ds. The Bios files are new, and the visual settings are default. I am running the ds bios at 1fps. is there any way to manually increase the resources used? |

I tried Pokemon Platnum, with similar effects. It had been working the day previously. |

are you sure it's actually launching the games and not just something like a white screen? ____________________ Nothing to say, so jadnjkfmnjamnfjkldnajfnjkanfjdksan jsdnvj m. |

It takes around 5 minutes to do the startup sequence in platnum, but the sequence definitely shows up |

what happens if you disable the framerate limiter, audio sync and v-sync? ____________________ Nothing to say, so jadnjkfmnjamnfjkldnajfnjkanfjdksan jsdnvj m. |

hm, well the fact audio sync causes an issue like that is still an issue in itself. a dev should probably look into it. ____________________ Nothing to say, so jadnjkfmnjamnfjkldnajfnjkanfjdksan jsdnvj m. |

Similar issue, and it seems other are having the same issue. It may be due to a Windows Update. I turned off audio sync, and the emulator runs fine again but with absolutely no audio whatsoever. I was really into the swing of my Dragon Quest IV playthrough, so this is a huge bummer. I hope this gets fixed soon. |

we talked about it on IRC, actually there is a bug with audio sync: if SDL audio couldn't be initialized for whatever reason, it will still try to sync to the audio callback even though that is not running. the sync call has a delay so that it doesn't freeze entirely incase, but obviously that makes it slow as hell.
the bug is already fixed in the upcoming Qt frontend. ____________________ Kuribo64 |

If you experience the issue again, maybe restart the computer first? |
