I'm having an issue with Pokemon Black where sometimes when I try to save, the game (but not music) freezes after saying yes to saving. I have a save state from before it happened, and it happens consistently when loading the state. I should note it also displays the date and time as ?4/0/20?0 4:?2 |

I save stated a few times to catch a Pokemon (not in this session), and once before the latest freeze in hopes if it froze, I could load it and try again, although that doesn't seem to be working. I believe my ROM is anti piracy patched, but if there's a way I can check I can do that. |

try comparing your ROM to the checksum in the no-intro databases to find out if it's unpatched. If it's not try to get hold of an unpatched ROM and see if the issue is still there (in any way using unpatched ROMs is recommended). ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! The ROM I'm using has a different MD5 from a No-Intro. Loading the pre save state from the patched ROM produces the same result. |

I'm having the same problem. I have a save state and when I try to do an in game save it freezes. Is there anyway to fix this so I can in game save?

I was able to recreate the bug entirely independently of using save states which suggests maybe it IS an issue with the RTC specifically.

thank you for testing this.
After looking into both of your save states it looks like the issue could be wifi related as well (it all somehow gets into an invalid state, apparently not only saving but everything involving wifi leads to a freeze). So disabling the C-Gear could be worth a try aswell (I remember someone in the forum said something about this before, but I thought it was humbug). ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! Thanks Generic! I actually came to the same conclusion. I've been playing with C-gear disabled for the last few days with no save issues at all. I'm convinced this is the issue and would recommend people also do this when playing Pokemon Black (and probably White AND probably other Pokemon games with WiFi features).

Ok so when I try to disable C Gear, my game freezes just like how it does when I save. Is there any way to fix that? |

Wanted to see if there was a fix available for this yet. I'm having the same issues as well as the game black screens at the cutscene with N at the amusement park. I'm stuck in Nimbassa City until we can figure this out. Any update is appreciated! |

A fix for this has been merged, and will make it into the next release which will be soon-ish.
If you post a save state there is a way to fix it in the meantime. |

I'm having the same problem every once in a while, but I haven't used any save states. Right now I'm unable to progress as the glitch happens when I reach Opelucid City. |
