Just wondering when MelonDS is going to get another switch update, especially since it’s running so much more smoothly than earlier versions. The previous versions were great, but playing pokémon with so much lag is a headache. Thank you!

Hydr8gon is on it, but we're having trouble getting the GL renderer to work on the Switch.

If you check the GBAtemp thread, I posted a 0.8.1 build somewhere in the replies. I'm not making it official yet, because like Arisotura said, we're having some trouble with the GL renderer. Well... you'll see if you try it.

I saw that the Switch can run Android now.
If you could use Android getting Drastic is the best way
to play DS games.

I think running native Switch homebrew yields better performance than running Linux apps on Switch Linux, so I don't want to imagine vs a fucking pile of bloat and shitware like Android.

according to this : https://www.xda-developers.com/nintendo-switch-android-hands-on/ Drastic runs fine and even in full-speed.

There was one emulator that I got working perfectly: DraStic. DraStic is one of the best Nintendo DS emulators on the Google Play Store, and it runs flawlessly on the Switch. That’s a massive achievement as there are no other DS emulators that work perfectly on it yet. I was able to play Pokemon Black with just my detached Joycons and my docked Switch via DraStic, which made for an enjoyable experience.

But i guess its not a preferable method for getting homebrew with the Switch.
