Does anyone have any experience getting the local Union Room to trade for Pokemon Emulated Games on MacOS?

I am having trouble getting the other instance to appear in the Union Room.

I enabled Randomize Mac Address and Bind To Any Socket.

Please let me know if you have any resources! A lot of what I've found on the forum is for PC so Im wondering if MacOS is different.

Local multiplayer seems to be broken on macOS, likely because of a permissions issue. I've been wanting to look into it but haven't got around to it yet.
