Hi, I'm not seeing any frame rate options besides limiting framerate or not. 60 is way too slow, but taking off the limit causes the framerate to jump around like crazy and make the program unstable. How about stable x1.5, x2, x4, etc. options?

Unlocked framerate shouldn't cause any sort of stability issues, though inconsistent framerates are to be expected since it's basically constantly running the game as fast as your PC can.

Dragon Quest 9 is essentially unplayable. At 60fps it runs like molasses. Unlocked it becomes choppy with speed ups, and then melonDS becomes unresponsive in the crafting menu. The displayed fps will jump between 100 and 500 something. I've had to go back to using desmume.

If Dragon Quest is unplayable at 60fps then it's unplayable on a real DS which I find quite concerning.,

Yeah, "runs like molasses"? Sounds like it should be running like it does on real hardware. Your system can't be too slow or you wouldn't be getting 500fps when the framerate is unlimited and audio sync is disabled.

What's your system specs, and is it a clean rom?
