the .ml* files aren't encrypted, they just contain all of melonDS's state
the save data might be in the NDCS section ____________________ Kuribo64 |

https://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=jcndZJLv7DTNi6uC
the same issue can happen in the underground in Pokemon D/P/Pt which is where I first looked into this issue. See this thread: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?id=278&page=1 and especially this post: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?pid=2314#2314 what I did was to manually set that register back to value 9 so the processor would stop waiting on it to be this value. Remember not enabling C-gear prevents this issue. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! "clearly you need to mow more lawns and buy a better pc" - Hydr8gon |

Posted by itzsplash I don't think so, savestate files contain a bunch of emulator-specific state that would be a pain to translate to another emulator also, are we doing savestate-fixoring black magic? that's dope (although it'd be more dope to figure out the actual issue and fix it. I should look into it someday) ____________________ Kuribo64 |

Posted by Generic aka RSDuck This is weird for me since I never had this issue and I used the underground multiple times without problems, but I have a friend that did get locked up in the underground. |

Posted by SSUPII the bug happeing is highly dependent on chance so it takes a while for it to occur. Also the JIT probably increases the chance of it happening. Posted by Arisotura it's the power saving thingy I've lamented over so often in the past. I mostly figured it out already, except during the init sequence (I've documented the results admittedly pretty badly here: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?pid=2756#2756 ). ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go!
