You may need to execute the Extra Step of the tutorial to properly reset the WFC settings, check if this solves the issue.

I already did it. :(
This is as far as it gets.:

The funny thing is it still works if I use a file that's never been online before. But the moment I use a file from a previous save of mine (that I traded Pokémon before) or even a file from the net, I keep getting this error. It's even funnier the fact that the Mystery Gift works, but the GTS doesn't.

Ps.: I've tried to install older versions, other WFC, bios, firmwares. I don't know what else to do.

That's strange, does the game prompt you to update your friend code once you try to go online?

Hello there,

I have followed the updated guide down to the letter regarding DNS setups and the like, I can add screenshots if that'd help or clarify a thing or two.

I had put my computer in the DMZ on my router to try and resolve my current issue, however MKDS keeps giving me errorcode 20100, can't connect to WFC Network.

Is anyone familiar with what errorcode 20100 exactly means and if yes, what a possible solution could be?

Do I need a patched NDS file of MKDS beside the melonAP DNS being set to Wiimmfi? Is it unrelated to MelonDS and is it within my own internet settings?

Thanks in advance :)

Kind regards
Archduke

Error 20100 is a login error, it means it could reach the server. Check the list of errors with the troubleshoots in the main post, there you'll find possible measures you can do to fix this error. Use clean roms, most WFC servers nowadays are using a exploit that works with regular cartridges and breaks compatibility with patched ones.

I can't make this work on Android, any ideas?

I seem to be running into this error, where whenever I try to initiate a trade it gets stuck communicating with my other game

Then, after about a minute or so, it pops up with this error

Doing some research, it seems like this is primarily caused by having 2 devices running on the same wifi. Has anyone else had this issue and solved it through means other than using 2 networks?

I linked the Android versions compatible with Wi-Fi in the main post.

This issue is caused most likely by IP or Nintendo Network ID conflict. Check if you guys are using the same firmware copy, if you are, proceed to reset the firmware entirely and start the configuration over (that will generate new Nintendo Network IDs for each copy). If this doesn't work, try manually setting up the IPs on both copies.

I've gone through the listed guide and set up everything as noted. I'm currently working on battling my friend on Pokémon Black & White though the WiFi-Club. (Both on emulators)

So far I've achieved:
- Connecting to the DNS (I've chosen the PKMN-Classic DNS, so 178.62.43.212. In both first and second DNS option)
- Joining the WiFi-Club Room with my friend and seeing eachother (I'd like to note that me and my friend are not playing on the same network)
- Requesting/Accepting a battle request..

..but here is where my luck also ends. Me and my friend both are stuck on the "Communicating with ____", after that it times out both of us and leaves us in the room.

I've looked through multiple threads and have also enabled the JIT Compiler under CPU emulation.

I now have multiple questions open to which I couldn't find answers online:
- Is it even possible for 2 people to wifi-battle eachother while both are playing on an emulator
- Is it the wrong DNS for this purpose and if yes which ones are the right ones

Would be nice to get some help on this. Thanks in advance

1st question: It is possible yes.
2nd question: You used the right one. It'll only not work on other games beyond Pokémon.

What could be happening is either a WFC setting misconfiguration (which could be reseted as described in the Extra Step of the tutorial) or the ISP/Router denying the DNS requests. In which you can try either this method or using direct mode.

Thanks for the response. I'll look into it more and give you the details once something new has come up

Hello all! I'm having a similar issue to the one above mine. My friend and i are playing black and white together (I'm on black, he's on white) and after setting up the online we can see each other in the wifi room. However, once either of us initiates in comes up with a message that say "Communicating with [player]...

This continues until one of us resets the game.

We both get the message, so both of us just hang there forever (tested for up to 5 minutes)

We're currently using the DNS 178.62.43.212.

Any suggestions would be great!

Dear good friends.
I’m seeking help trying to connect to the usb wifi connector to play pkmn B2 on melon DS 0.9.5

My connection one settings work fine and are successful upon testing it. In my config settings>wifi setting >indirectmode. With these setting I get a successful connection upon testing.
My question is that when I click ( connect to your Nintendo wifi usb connector) it results in( unable to find the Nintendo wifi usb connector ).

For pkmn B2 would this effect my online play if so why? And also if I use config>wifi settings> direct mode> wifi adapter(option). The connection drops half way and results in error 52000.

How can I play wireless?
I log in press wireless on the c-gear
Try to connect after saving and it says

yes that’s fine I update the information we proceed to authenticate user information. We have cleared authentication.

But after trying to connect to wireless it give me an < error 13212 the server is under going maintenance >
What is wrong with my setup? Connection 1 is a success I update my credentials I’m already running as administrator I followed every step of the tutorial and reset using the last step in instructions..then tried again and now I’m here again lol looking at this tutorial.

So I've been looking to see if me and a friend can do stuff in Pokemon B/W on MelonDS, however I'm having trouble, mainly in getting the Friend Code, as it says "To get your code, please connect to Nintendo WFC", and I've done everything, including the Extra Step but it still gives me that message. Am I doing anything wrong?

Well, I somewhat stand corrected. We got it to somehow work, but I still think its not working as intended.

We cant Entralink, or do any of the Pokemon Center rooms.

We're using the "altWFC" and the "Kaeru" connections, but we're still unable to Entralink, Club, or Game Sync. I also want to point out I got a "61010" error code. I saw that other posters are able to do long-distance stuff, so I thought that it was possible?

Is it really possible to do stuff long-distance or is it not?

I wanted to ask if it still works on Android if I used patch rom, or can I do it on windows 7?

G'day lads n lassies!

Recently beat Pokemon Black (ROM) and I've been trying to complete the Dex. One hurdle I'm having is receiving all the gift Mons for this specific game. I followed the instructions on page 1 through and through and yet I've only been able to get a certain amount of Mons. It doesn't bother me too much but I was just wondering what were the specifics for this issue.

I currently cycle through about 7 random Gift Pokemon on the Nintendo WFC, those being:
Karrablast (Lvl 50, European Summer 2011 Pokemon Day), Secret Egg (TRU 2011, Cilan's Pansage), Victini (Lvl 50, has V-Create), Darkrai (Lvl 50, May 2012, Dark Explorer's tie-in), Zekrom (Lvl 100, Spring 2012, Has "Bolt Strike" move), Zoroark (Lvl 50, Summer 2011, TRU), Shelmet (Lvl 50, EU Pokemon Day 2011)

I'm on melonds 0.9.5 and I've inputted the "AltWFC" code in Primary DNS.

Thank you for reading my post! :^)

hi, I have followed the tutorial and tried with the 3 dns and it happens that the connection fails when entering the gts and as for fights or exchanges in the lower part of the pokemon center, I see my friend but then I try to interact with him and a message comes out as not responding and as a connection error.

I'm using pokemon platinum, obviously with 2 different characters and PC

I have error code 291114. Anyone knows what that means? Trying to access the shop, just says to check operations manual.

I don't know if there is a fix, but Pokémon games are very weird when it comes to online. This error had already been pointed out by someone earlier on this topic, but idk if they got a fix.

Edit: On second thought, they said it worked if you used a save that had never gotten online before. Could you try that?
